Jeff Jamison has been providing counseling services to Abilene and the Big Country area since 1982. He was the Director of Family Services at Woods Psychiatric Institute from 1982 until its closing in 1996. During those 14 years, he specialized in counseling inpatient and outpatient children, adolescents and their families.
Since July 1996, Jeff has been in private practice providing services to couples, families and individuals. Jeff has partnered with various Big Country organizations including MHMR, Head Start, Pioneer Drive Baptist Church, Mesa Springs Retirement Community, Hendrick Home for Children, Coronado Nursing Center, the Aids Association of Rural Texas, and Acadia Healthcare Hospital.
For the past 38 years, Jeff has helped countless clients work through a wide range of personal and relationship issues. He uses a cognitive-behavioral approach enabling his clients to develop self-awareness, resolve conflicts and develop more rewarding interpersonal relationships. Clients include children four years and older, adolescents, adults and seniors.
